Children’s Ministry – The Peak
We are leading kids to new spiritual heights in The Peak! Our purpose is to love God, love others and create followers. It is our desire as a ministry to teach every child about God’s incredible love so that they can mature into adulthood having a deep relationship with God feeling prepared to share the gospel with others.
Sundays
On Sunday mornings we offer the following programs:
8:45 & 10:30 Services for 6 Months - 4 Years Old
These little ones will be loved on by our caring Sunday morning volunteers in the nursery/preschool room. During service they will have time to play, listen to stories, hear energizing music about God and eat a snack. The snacks we offer are Goldfish, Animal Crackers and juice. We never offer any snacks that contain peanuts. If you prefer your child to have a different snack that you bring from home, please inform the Sunday school volunteer upon arrival. If your child is still in diapers please leave a diaper bag for our volunteers to use if necessary.
Sundays at 8:45 for K-6th Grade
Please check in your child at one of our KidCheck stations before service begins. Children will join their parents in the worship center at 8:30 and will enjoy worship through music as a family. The children will be dismissed to Sunday school at the offering time. Sunday school this session is teaching all about how God gave us His Son! Our curriculum, Rooted, is intended to plant seeds in your child’s faith and help those seeds grow into a mature and rooted tree of faith! Your children will play games, read from scripture and pray together during their Sunday school time.
Sundays at 10:30 for K-3rd Grades
These children will begin their time in Sunday school at the beginning of our 10:30 service. Please check your child into one of our KidCheck stations at the beginning of service and then return to pick them up at the end. Our curriculum for the K-3rd graders during this service is called ‘Hands on Bible’. During their Sunday school lesson your child will go straight to the heart of the Bible learning a lesson they will be sure to remember by the discoveries they make. Your children will also have time to worship through music and share a special time of offering.
Sundays at 10:30 for 4th-6th Grades
These children will also begin their time in Sunday school at the beginning of our 10:30 service, after you check them in at one of our KidCheck stations. Our curriculum during this Sunday school class, ‘Grapple’, is specifically designed for 4th-6th graders. Your kids will dig into the Bible to ‘Grapple’ with faith and life issues. Your children will also get a chance to have a time of worship through music and share a special time of offering.
Safety and Security
When you drop your child off in one of our Sunday school classrooms, you can be assured that safety and security is one of our top priorities. To ensure safety for drop off and pick up on Sunday mornings we use an electronic system called KidCheck. If you are new to Faith Mountain and do not already have a KidCheck account you can create one at https://go.kidcheck.com/signin.aspx. Along with providing your basic information, your KidCheck account will allow you to inform our Sunday school volunteers of any allergy or special needs. When you arrive at Faith Mountain you will check in your child at one of our KidCheck computers for their age appropriate Sunday school class. You will receive a nametag for your child and a claim check tag for you. Both tags will have a randomly selected code on them. If a Sunday school teacher needs to contact you during church service, the code on your tag will appear on the large screen in the worship center. You will also use your claim check tag and code to pick up your child at the end of service. Each Sunday school teacher will match the code on your tag with the code on your child’s tag to ensure they are released to the correct adult. If you lose your claim check tag you will be required to show a photo ID in order to pick up your child. In addition to our KidCheck system, all of our children’s ministry volunteers have been background checked, have been trained and are indentified by the “Official Volunteer” tag they are wearing.
